I am a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager with a passion for driving growth, innovation, and customer satisfaction. I have 5+ years of experience in developing and launching digital products, and driving cross-functional teams to deliver innovative technology solutions.In my current role, I am responsible for managing the development and launch of two exciting products: WESOnline, a virtual platform for Nigerian students to gain employability skills and find internships remotely, and Guildroom, a mentor-mentee matching platform.In addition to my product management skills, I am also proficient in English and Mandarin and have a diverse background in Sales, Marketing, Research, Operations and Customer Service.Here's a copy of my resume.You can get in touch with me via email.
WESOnline
WESOnline is an end-to-end, robust, cloud-based employability solution targeted at helping students find virtual internship opportunities online, and supporting companies to provide seamless virtual experiences/internships to students online.The features of the platform include the following:
Virtual Internships: A module that completely digitizes and automates the internship management for organizations. It includes automated calendars, task management, notifications, reporting, etc.
Virtual Experiences: A module that provides a platform for companies to showcase their culture, programmes, processes and departments through the creation of specialized e-learning programmes taught by their employees.
Employability Skills Assessment (ESA): A module that provides students with the opportunity to complete a self-assessed employability test by answering a series of questions and receiving an immediate score.
Employability Skills Training (EST): A module that provides an opportunity for students to get training in relevant soft-skill/employability courses.
Mentorships: A module that facilitates interactions between interns (mentees) and employees (mentors) in an organization.
Webinars: A module that allows students to participate in live video conference calls between mentor and mentees. This module is also useful for when the companies are interested in passing across relevant information to students who are completing an internship or virtual experience programme with them.
Documents Viewing: A module that allows students to view documents that have been pre-uploaded by a company they are completing an internship with, a University they attend, or a general system admin.
MY ROLEAs Product Manager for WESOnline, I led a cross-functional team of UI/UX Designers, Frontend Engineers, Backend Engineers, QA Testers, DevOps Engineers and Product Marketers to take the product from ideation to launch. I participated in in-depth research with potential users, conducted interviews, conducted product demos, wrote pitch decks, onboarded customers, and worked closely with the CEO and other stakeholders.I also had other responsibilities such as agile leadership, product ownership, copy writing, script writing and grant applications.
WHAT I LEARNT WHILE BUILDING WESONLINE
Although it was my first experience as a Product Manager, I was able to lead the team to develop an employability solution that is currently in use by 5 companies.
I learnt the importance of documentation, prioritization and having a laser-focused approach to product development.
I significantly improved my conversational skills by learning how to collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, testers, marketers, etc.
I learnt how to arrive at the intersection between feasibility, viability and desirability for both the users and the business.
